So many buttons, so little time

To my gorgeous listeners. Thank you so much for your love and support for not only me but my show and the music that is played.

Studio life isn't as easy as the professionals make it out to look. I am in awe of presenters that can chat easily, play music, ads from sponsors and programme cross plugging with an ease and flow that I aspire to. I am so lucky to have a supportive group of fellow presenters and mentors at this Community Radio Station at 88.5fm. Big shout outs to Bill Hutlink for seeing something in me that would work, Jimmy for his time training me on what buttons to press and when as well as showing the passion he has for this radio station - it's contagious. AND of course my co-host Peter Gray from The Couch (who incidentally does a whole heap of production behind the scenes work: he makes magic happen). You my friend are an awesome man with passion for music and causes.

It takes a team to put shows together not just the presenter. And it also takes HOURS and HOURS to put together a show with a flow to it or a theme or one that may tell a story. There's a heap of research behind the songs & artists required. One fellow presenter told me recently it takes around 5 hours background work to produce a 2 hour show. For me personally it takes a little longer because I'm still learning.

All that said, I wouldn't have it any other way. I have a passion for Country Music and Talking. Of course it just makes sense that I'm doing what I'm doing.
